You can find us in Narkhed, which is a bit of a drive from Nagpur city. The office is located in Ward No 17, inside the Durgesuyog Colony. It’s actually at Shree Ramesh Lalji’s place. It’s a quiet residential area, so it doesn’t feel like a typical factory or office space. We mostly deal with the cotton business, which makes sense given where we are. Narkhed is known for this kind of work. We spend our mornings checking the local rates and talking to the farmers or the middle-men. It’s a lot of talk about weather and crop quality. The office itself is just a simple room with some chairs and a big table where we spread out the paperwork. There’s no air conditioning, just the overhead fan that squeaks a bit when it’s on high. We keep some samples of the raw cotton in small bags on the side. It’s dusty work, and you end up with lint on your clothes by the end of the day. Sometimes we have to head out to the fields to see how things are looking. It’s not a fancy corporate life, but it suits us just fine.
