If you head down Kharbi Road in Nagpur and go behind Hasanbag, you’ll find us at 136 and 137 Shesh Nagar. We’ve got a bit more space here because of the two plots, which is lucky given how many trucks we have to deal with. Road Transport Corporation has been a fixture here for some time. The Nagpur heat can be pretty tough, especially out in the yard, but we’re used to it. The office is a bit old-fashioned, and we like it that way. We don’t have any fancy software doing all the work; it’s mostly just us and our ledgers and some basic computers. There’s always a layer of dust on everything because of the road, but that’s just part of being in the transport business. We spend our days talking to drivers and making sure the loads are secured. It’s a lot of physical work combined with keeping the books straight. We don't try to sound like a big international corporation. We’re just a local transport outfit trying to keep things moving through Shesh Nagar. Some days are chaotic with too many trucks arriving at once, and other days we’re just sitting around waiting for news from the road. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve built a decent life here on Kharbi Road.
