Maa Pitambara Enterprises

Being in Room No 1 on Henessey Road has its perks because it’s so central. We are right opposite the Vrindavan Apartments in the Civil Lines area. It’s a small office, and we don’t really have any fancy signs out front. Inside, it’s mostly just a couple of old desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. Civil Lines is always full of life, so there’s a constant hum of traffic and people outside our window. We chose this spot because it’s easy to get to other parts of the city from here. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working through stacks of paper. It’s not the most glamorous work, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just have to take a break until it comes back. We don’t bother with corporate talk or big goals. We just run this enterprise one day at a time. The apartments across the road are a great landmark for anyone trying to find us. Since we are on the ground floor, nobody has to worry about stairs. We keep the setup very basic. There’s no leather furniture or expensive art here. We just need a place to sit and handle the business. Some days are loud with people visiting, other days it’s just the two of us and the ceiling fan. That’s our life here in the room.
