We have been operating out of Mahalaxmi Chamber for quite some time now. Our office is number 21, and it is right on Central Avenue Road, which everyone just calls CA Road here in Nagpur. It is a busy part of the Dharaskar area, and the noise from the traffic is something we have just learned to live with over the years. Our space is not very large, but it fits our desks and all the filing cabinets we need for the paperwork. Most days are spent looking at ledgers or helping people who walk in from the neighborhood. We aren't a big corporate firm with fancy carpets or a reception desk. It’s just a plain room where we get things done. Sometimes the climb up the stairs feels a bit long when the weather is hot, which is most of the time in this city. We know the other shop owners in the building, and we usually get our tea from the same stall every morning. The address 440008 has become very familiar to us. We don't really have a philosophy or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the shutters, and start on whatever work is sitting on the desk from the day before. It is mostly local people from this side of Nagpur who come to see us. We have old wooden chairs and a lot of paper everywhere, but we know where everything is. It's a simple life.
