Prayas Coching Institute

It’s a small shop, number two actually, right here in Laxmi Nagar. Most people around here know where Laxmi Nagar is in Nagpur, and we’re just part of the local scene now. The sign outside is a bit dusty from the road traffic, but it does the job. When you walk in, you’ll see the rows of benches we squeezed in to make sure everyone has a place to sit. It gets a bit crowded in the evenings when the school kids finish their day and head over here. I usually spend my morning getting the notes ready or just tidying up the place before the first batch arrives. The fan in the corner has a bit of a rattle, but we’ve gotten used to it over the months. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or revolving chairs, just basic wooden desks and a whiteboard that I have to scrub hard every night. Sometimes the tea stall guy from down the street brings over a few cups if we’re staying late to finish a chapter. It’s not a big corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a room where we go through the books and try to figure out the math problems together. The street outside stays busy until late, so there is always some background noise of scooters and cars passing by. We’ve been at this address for a while and the neighbors are used to the noise of students chatting outside the door during their breaks.
