P.N. Kathale( Govt. Contractor)

My name is P.N. Kathale and I’ve been working as a government contractor for a long time. Our place is over at 116, Mahatma Fule Nagar, right off Manewada Road in Nagpur. It's a pretty busy area. Most of the time, I’m out on sites or dealing with the local offices, but the house on Manewada Road is where all the actual planning happens. It’s not a big corporate building, just a regular spot where we keep our files and tools. Nagpur is a good place to live and work, even when it gets really hot in the summer. We take on various jobs that the government needs doing. It involves a lot of back and forth with different departments. Sometimes the projects take longer than we expect, but that is just the nature of contracting work. My neighbors know me well. We aren’t trying to be the biggest firm in Maharashtra, just trying to do the jobs right so they last. I have a few guys who help out when things get busy. We don’t use any fancy advertising. Usually, people just hear about us through word of mouth or see our name on the project boards. If you’re driving down Manewada Road, you’ve probably passed by us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We keep things simple and keep our heads down. It's not glamorous, but the work is steady and we like it that way.
