Out here at J-7 in the M.I.D.C. area on Hingna Road, it is mostly about the sound of production. You get used to it after a few days. We have been set up in this spot for a long time, and everyone around here knows the address. It is an industrial patch, so it is not exactly pretty, but it is practical for what we do. We deal with a lot of rubber and belts, so there is a certain smell to the air when you walk in. It is the smell of work. Most of the guys have been here for years and they know the routine by heart. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high, because the heat can be a real bother later on. We do not spend much time on fancy talk or decorating the office. The walls are a bit dusty and the desks are covered in papers and samples. That is just how it goes when you are busy. If you come by, you will probably see a few trucks loading up or someone checking the inventory lists. It is a straightforward way of life. We focus on the things we make and try to stay out of the way of the chaos on the main road. It is steady work and it keeps us occupied from Monday to Saturday.
