Our situation is a bit unique since we’ve got this connection between Nagpur and our spot here with Arabian International Company in Jeddah. It means there’s often a lot of talk about logistics and engineering standards that work across different borders. Working in Saudi Arabia is a change of pace from home, but the engineering work stays pretty much the same at its core. We spend our days looking at plans and making sure the technical details are right for whatever project is on the table. The office isn't anything too flashy, just a place with enough computers and space for us to spread out our drawings. Sometimes the time difference makes things a bit complicated when we need to check something back in India, but we manage. We’ve got a small crew here, and we’ve become a tight group because of the environment. Lunch is usually a quick break before we dive back into the numbers and specifications. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather gets really hot outside, but the work is steady. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff that people don't really see. It’s about making sure the structures and systems are solid. We don't spend much time on polished presentations; we’d rather just make sure the engineering side is handled correctly without any fuss. It’s just a group of us putting in the hours every day and making sure everything fits together.
