Parate Driving School

This location is at Plot No. 1 on Khamla Road, right opposite Gulmohor Hall. It’s a busy spot in Nagpur, which is actually good for people learning to drive. If you can handle the turns and the crowds around here, you can drive anywhere. We see all sorts of people come through. Teenagers who are excited and older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. We spend a lot of time talking through the basics while keeping an eye on the mirrors. It gets repetitive, but seeing someone finally get the hang of a U-turn makes it worth the effort. The office is pretty simple. We mostly just use it for paperwork and meeting up before a lesson starts. We’ve been in this part of Khamla for a while, so we know every pothole and shortcut in the neighborhood. It is a local business, so we aren't following some big corporate manual. We just teach the way we were taught, with a bit more patience. The cars get a lot of wear and tear, so we’re always checking the tires and the oil. Driving in India is a skill that takes time, and we just provide the space and the car to do it. It’s just regular work for us, helping neighbors get their licenses and feel okay behind the wheel. We stay busy through most seasons and just keep the engines running.
