Our office is located at House Number 396 in Chankapur. That’s in the Kamptee area of Nagpur. It’s a bit away from the main city hustle, which is nice. We’ve been here at this address for some time now. Om Sai Ram Urban Nidhi is just a small local operation we run. The office is pretty basic. We have a counter and some benches for people to sit on. In Kamptee, everyone kind of knows everyone else, so we see a lot of familiar faces. We handle the deposits and the small loans that our members need. It’s not like those big banks where you are just a number. Here, we know your name and your family. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Word spreads by people talking to each other at the tea stall or the market. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the neighbors are out, but that’s just how it is in Chankapur. We try to keep our records neat, though sometimes the pens run out or the stapler jams. It’s just real life. We are here from ten in the morning until about six in the evening. If the lights are on, you can just walk in. We don't make people book appointments. We just sit down and talk about what they need. It’s a simple way of doing things, and it works for us.
