Om Academy

Om Academy is situated on Naik Road in the Mahal area of Nagpur. You can find us right near the Hanuman Mandir, which is a very well-known spot around here. Being in Mahal means it is always lively outside with shoppers and temple visitors. Our academy is basically a couple of rooms where we gather for classes. We don’t go for anything fancy or high-tech. There are desks, chairs, and whiteboards for the students. Most of the people who come to us are from the local neighborhood. They find out about us from their friends or neighbors because we don't do much advertising. It’s a very old-school way of doing things. The noise from the market and the temple can be heard sometimes, but the students are used to it and it doesn’t stop the work. We usually start our batches in the morning and then have more in the late afternoon. It is a small team here, just a few of us managing the teaching and the schedules. We focus on the school subjects and try to help the kids understand what they are reading. There isn't a lot of formality. If a student is stuck, they just ask. We have been at this address on Naik Road for a long time. It feels like a part of the community here. It’s just a plain and honest place for kids to study together after school.
