Nilesh Dry Fruits

Over at Vakil Wadi on MG Road, you’ll find us in Shop No. 60-61 inside the Sarda Sankul building. Nilesh Dry Fruits is a small place, but we pack a lot into it. We have bags of almonds, cashews, raisins, and all sorts of nuts piled up. When you walk in, the smell of dried fruit is the first thing you notice. It’s a nice, sweet scent that sticks to your clothes. We spend a lot of time weighing things out on the scales and sealing up bags for people. We don't have those fancy pre-packaged boxes you see in the supermarkets. We prefer to show people what they are getting. The Sarda Sankul is always bustling with shoppers, so there is a lot of noise and energy around the shop. We’ve got regulars who come in every month for their supplies. Sometimes we have a chat about how their families are doing while we pack their order. It isn't a high-tech business. We just try to get the best quality we can find and put it on the shelves. My hands are always busy sorting or cleaning. We don't do any big advertising. People just find us by word of mouth or by walking past while they are on MG Road. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. We just keep the shop tidy and wait for the next person to stop by. It’s a good life being part of this market.
