New Balaji Tours & Travels

If you know Sitabuldi, you know how packed the Janki Market gets. Our shop, Shop No-6, is on the first floor right beside the old Janki Cinema in the Netaji Market area. New Balaji Tours & Travels is right in the middle of all that chaos. From our window, you can see the crowds shopping and the traffic on the main road. It’s a loud place to work, but we’re used to it by now. We spend most of our time booking bus tickets or planning trips for families who walk in. The office is small and decorated with a few old calendars and photos of temples. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close up and do it. People come in with all sorts of questions, and we just try to find the cheapest options for them on the screen. It gets really busy during the festival seasons, and sometimes there’s nowhere for people to even stand inside. We have a lot of regulars who just stop by to say hello or ask about the weather in some other city. It’s a local business, through and through. We don't have fancy brochures, just our notebooks and the computer. It’s a bit of a squeeze in here, but it’s home for us during the day. We just keep things simple and try to help folks get where they need to go.
