Narmada Ratan Taori Hospital

Being in Mumbai Central is a whole different experience. It’s always crowded and everything moves so fast. Our hospital is right in the middle of it all. You can hear the trains and the constant traffic from the station area. It’s a lot of noise, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. The building is a bit old, like many others around here. We have to make use of every bit of space we have because it's so tight. I spend my day navigating through the narrow hallways and making sure the patients have what they need. It’s a tough environment because there are always so many people. We don't have much room for a garden or anything, just the concrete and the city. The staff is used to the pressure. We eat our lunch quickly and get back to work. It’s not the kind of place where you sit around and chat. There is always someone coming through the door. We keep the floors mopped constantly because of all the feet coming in from the street. It’s a bit of a struggle to keep everything organized in such a busy spot, but we manage. We’ve been a fixture in Mumbai Central for a long time. People know us as the place that’s always open and always busy. It’s just the way life is in this part of the city. We keep moving.
