Mrs Fouzie Khan Tuition Classes is basically run right out of my home here in Mansarovar Colony. We are located up on the third floor of the Chandramohan Vedant Apartment, which is pretty easy to find if you know where Munjewar Hospital is in the Mankapur area. It is a quiet enough neighborhood, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up that day. I started doing this because there were so many kids in the building who needed a bit of extra help after their school hours. Now, students come from all around this part of Nagpur. The living room gets full of bags and water bottles by four o'clock. It is not some big corporate center with a lobby. It is just me and the students sitting around the table together. Sometimes the tea kettle is whistling in the kitchen while we are working on math or science problems. I try to keep things organized, but with a group of kids, there is always a bit of a mess with papers and stray pens. Living and teaching in the same place means I am always around if someone needs to drop off a book. We spend a lot of time going over the basics that might have been missed in a crowded classroom. It is honest work and it keeps me busy. The 440030 area has changed a lot lately, but our little flat stays the same.
