Mothers Classes

Mothers Classes is located in Sidhharth Nagar, right across from Big Vihari in Nagpur. It’s a place where we spend most of our hours every single day. The area is usually quite busy, especially in the evenings when everyone is out and about. We have a small sign out front so people can find us, but most of our students come from just a few streets away. The name comes from a simple idea of caring for the students like they are at home, though it’s definitely more about the books and the homework once they sit down at the tables. We have some old fans that hum while we work, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint eventually. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and the sound of pens scratching on paper. Sometimes the students bring their snacks and we have to tell them to wait until the break. It gets a bit crowded in the small hallway when one class is leaving and the next one is arriving. Being near Big Vihari means there’s always something happening outside, but once the door is closed, we try to focus on the lessons. We don't have fancy computers or anything like that. It’s just us, the students, and their textbooks. We’ve been here in the 440017 area for a good bit of time now and it feels like a regular part of the neighborhood routine.
