Mayanand Nidhi Limited is situated in Nagpur, specifically in the Bharatwada and Bhandewadi area. Our office is at House No 834, Plot No 9-10, in a building called Navkanya. It’s tucked away in a residential part of the city, which makes it feel very much like a neighborhood business. We don't have any big neon signs or anything flashy out front. It’s just a place where locals can come to deal with their small-scale financial needs. As a Nidhi company, we only work with our members, so it creates a bit of a tight-knit atmosphere. We see the same people every week or every month. Sometimes the office gets a bit cramped when too many people show up at once, but we just pull out some extra stools. The work involves a lot of counting and writing things down in big registers. We don't rely too much on fancy software if a pen and paper can do the job just as well. Most of the people around Bharatwada know we are here for their savings and small loans. We don't try to be something we aren't. We are just a group of people helping other people in Nagpur manage their money a bit better. The heat in Nagpur can be tough in the summer, so we usually have a fan going full blast while we talk to the members. It’s a very basic, honest setup for everyone involved.
