You can find us over in Zingabai Takli at House Number 62. We are right by Gajanan Medicals, which everyone in Ward 61 knows. It’s a busy little corner of Nagpur. The office isn't anything fancy to look at, just a regular ground-floor space where we handle the Mauli Navnirman Nagpur Nidhi business. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors are used to seeing us. Dealing with the Nidhi keeps us on our toes. People stop in while they are out getting their medicines or groceries. We have some old wooden chairs for people to sit on while we go through their paperwork. It gets quite hot in Nagpur, so the cooler is usually running full blast. We don't use any big corporate words here. We just explain how things work in Marathi or Hindi, whatever the person is comfortable with. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit to use the computer, but that’s just life here. We handle the savings and the loans for the members who signed up with us. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us making sure the numbers add up at the end of the day. We like the area because it’s a real neighborhood. We aren't tucked away in some glass tower. We are right there on the street where things happen. It is just a basic office for basic financial needs.
