MANVODDHAR-BACHATPLUS NIDHI LIMITED

Our little setup is located at Ashisha Baburao Punyapawar’s place right here in Vyahad. It’s a quiet area, mostly just families and small shops around 440023. We started this because people in the village needed a way to save money together. It isn't anything fancy, just a room with some chairs and a desk where we keep the books. We focus on the Bachat idea, which is basically just regular saving. Some of us have known each other since we were kids. That makes the trust part a lot easier. We aren't looking to become some massive financial institution. We just want to make sure the people in Vyahad have a place to put their hard-earned money where it stays safe. Every now and then, someone needs a bit of a loan for a wedding or to fix a roof, and that's where the mutual benefit part comes in. We sit down, look at the numbers, and see what we can do. There's no pressure and no corporate talk here. Just plain conversation across the table. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait a bit to finish the entries, but nobody mind much. Life moves at a different pace in a place like this. We are glad to be part of the daily routine for our members. It’s just about looking out for each other and making sure everyone has a bit of something for a rainy day.
