Our shop is situated on Manewada Road, right across the street from the Omkar Nursing Home. It is shop number four in the Shesh Nagar area. We have been here for a long time, and most of the people in the neighborhood know us by now. The front of the shop is usually filled with whatever stock we currently have on hand, which makes it easy for people to see what is available. Inside, it is a bit of a mix of things piled on the shelves. We spend the day helping people who walk in looking for specific items they need for their houses. It involves a lot of climbing up ladders to reach the top shelves and dusting off old boxes. The road outside is always busy with cars and bikes going toward the hospital. We keep the doors open to let some air in, even though a lot of dust comes in from the street too. There is a small counter where we handle the cash and write out the bills by hand. We chat with the neighbors and the other shopkeepers on our block while we work. It is a simple setup without any fancy decorations or lights. Sometimes we have to order things in if we run out of stock. It is just a regular local shop serving the people around the Manewada area.
