Madhyam Mutual Nidhi Limited is just a small place where we handle local money matters for people in the neighborhood. My cousin and I started this because we saw folks struggling with paperwork at the bigger banks. It’s not anything fancy, just a desk and some chairs really. We mostly sit around and talk to people who walk in from the street. Some days are slow and we just drink tea, but other times it gets crowded near the door. The office is easy to find if you know the area. We’ve been here for a bit now, just trying to keep things moving along for everyone who lives nearby. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just open the windows and keep working. People know they can find us here from morning until the sun starts going down. It’s just how we do things in Nagpur. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the name on the door. It feels right being part of the community like this. Most of our neighbors stop by just to say hello even if they don’t need anything done that day. We like it that way. It keeps the atmosphere friendly and makes the work feel less like a chore. We always keep a few extra chairs for anyone who wants to sit and rest.
