Our shop is right in the middle of Itwari, specifically in the Lohaoli area. We are directly opposite the Sheetla Mata Mandir which makes it easy for people to find us. It is a very old part of the city and things move in a certain way here. We have been around for many years, following in the footsteps of those who started this. The bells from the temple are something we hear all day long. It is a busy market so there are always people shouting and carrying goods back and forth. We deal in what we know and do not try to do too much else. Our space is filled with things we have collected over the years. It is not very organized to a stranger but we know where everything is. We sit on the floor mostly or on small stools when we talk to people who come in. There is no air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that hum. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day and chat with the neighbors. It is a simple life and a simple business. We do not have a mission statement or anything like that. We just try to be fair and do what we said we would do. If you visit the mandir, you have probably seen us standing at the door. We have lived our whole lives around this market and its people.
