Late Dr. Baburao Mendhe Foundation

The Late Dr. Baburao Mendhe Foundation operates out of Sunny Towers. We are on the first floor in room 101. It is located on Khat Road, which is a fairly well-known street around this part of town. Being on the first floor is quite handy because we do not have to wait for the lift on most days. The building is a little bit older, but it serves its purpose for the work we do. We named the foundation after Dr. Mendhe to keep his name and memory going in the community. Inside the office, it is mostly just a few desks and some old photos on the walls. We spend our days here talking to people and sorting through all the paperwork that piles up. Khat Road gets quite dusty with all the traffic, so we are constantly having to wipe down the shelves. It is a small operation. We do not have any fancy office furniture, just some chairs that have seen better days and a large wooden table where we sit and talk. Everyone who lives and works nearby knows who we are by now. We try to keep things as simple as possible. There are no big speeches here, just the daily tasks. It is usually quiet enough on the first floor to get things finished. We often have a small radio playing in the background while we work. It feels more like a home office than a corporate place.
