Gurdev Singh Saw Mills has been operating out of No. 33 for a very long time. Our main focus is working with wood and getting it cut down to the sizes that people need for their projects. It is a noisy place to work because the saws are always running, and there is sawdust on almost every surface you can see. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. Instead, we have a yard full of logs and a workshop where the actual cutting happens. No. 33 is a place where we just get things done. We handle different kinds of timber depending on what comes in from the suppliers. It is heavy, physical work and it can be quite tiring by the end of the day. We have been in this spot for so long that most people in the area just know us by name. We don't go in for any promotional stuff because we are usually too busy with the wood. The smell of fresh pine and teak is something you get used to after a while. Sometimes the machines need a bit of fixing, but we handle that ourselves too. It is a straightforward business without any hidden extras. We just provide the wood as it is, cut to the right dimensions.
