Working out here at the Gumgaon Mine is a whole different world compared to the city. We are based in the ECC Division near Khapa, which is part of the Saoner area in Nagpur. The drive out to 441101 takes some time, and by the time you get here, your car is usually covered in a layer of red dust. The office itself is pretty basic. We have some old desks and a couple of computers that have seen better days. Because we are right at the mine site, things can get pretty loud with the trucks moving around. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, mostly just maps of the site pinned to the walls. It's a small team here, so we all know each other's stories. We usually have our lunch together and talk about the local news. The weather in this part of Maharashtra gets incredibly hot, especially in May, so we rely on some old coolers to stay sane. We don't have any fancy statements or slogans hanging around. We just come in, handle the logistics for the mine, and try to make sure everything stays on track. It’s a tough environment, but we’re used to it. The paperwork can be a bit of a mess sometimes, especially when we’re busy, but we eventually get through it all. It’s just a normal, hardworking office in a dusty location, and that is fine by us.
