Even though the main branch is down in Chennai, this specific office of the ECC Division is located right here in Nagpur. We are set up in the Nandanwan Housing Board Colony, specifically at M-58, which is a Mig-64 type house. It’s a residential area, so it feels a lot more like a home than a corporate building. We are in the 440009 pin code area of Maharashtra. Working out of a housing colony means we see our neighbors every day, and it keeps things feeling very local. We handle a lot of the regional coordination from this Nagpur base. The rooms are filled with files and maps of various projects we are working on. It gets quite warm in Nagpur during the summer, so we usually have the fans going full blast all day. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find fancy furniture. It’s all very functional and used. We have some people who have been with the division for years, and they know the history of every project handled from this desk. We don’t really do any self-promotion; we just handle the tasks as they come in. If you walk past M-58, you’ll just see us doing our regular jobs. It’s a steady pace of work without too much fuss. The Nandanwan area is quite nice for walks during our lunch break when it isn't too hot outside.
