Lamkhade Hospital

This is Lamkhade Hospital located in Paratwada, within the Achalpur area. It is a local hospital that has been around for quite some time now. We are not a massive facility, but we have enough rooms for the people who live nearby. Paratwada is a small town, so word travels fast, and most of our patients are people we see at the market or around the neighborhood. The building itself is a simple structure. We have a small reception area where we keep the patient records in big cardboard folders. Sometimes the ceiling fans make a clicking sound that we have just gotten used to. During the monsoon season, the rain hits the tin roof parts of the building and it gets quite loud, making it hard to hear anything else. We have a small courtyard where staff and families can sit for a bit of fresh air. The medical equipment we have is basic but it gets the job done. We do not have a lot of fancy computerized systems; most of our notes are still written by hand with a blue pen. It works for us. We see a lot of fever cases and minor injuries from the local farms. Everyone here knows the way to the hospital if something goes wrong. We just try to provide a steady place for people to come when they are not feeling their best. It is a quiet, practical kind of place.
