Krushnakant Knowledge House

This place in Nagpur 440008 is where we do all our teaching. The name on the door says Krushnakant Knowledge House, but to the locals, it's just where the kids go to study after school. We’ve got a couple of rooms filled with wooden benches and plenty of old books stacked in the corners. It’s nothing fancy, just a plain space where we can sit down and focus on the school syllabus. The 440008 neighborhood is where most of our students live, so they usually just walk or cycle over. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the different subjects. The schedule is pretty much the same every day of the week. We open up in the afternoon and stay until the last student heads home for dinner. It gets busy during exam season, and that’s when the place feels really small. We spend a lot of time writing on the board and explaining things over and over. Sometimes we have to remind the kids to stay quiet when they’re waiting for their turn. It’s a very normal, local operation. We don’t use any complicated systems for keeping track of things, just some old-fashioned registers. It’s just about helping the kids get through their lessons without too much fuss. We’ve been doing this for a while now and it’s just our daily life. Every day is different but the goal stays the same.
