Om Sai Krushi Kendra

Out here in Kelwad, which is part of Savner Taluka, things move a bit slower than in the city. Our place, Om Sai Krushi Kendra, is where a lot of the local farmers end up when they need something for their fields. Whether it is seeds for the next planting or some tools that broke in the middle of a job, they come find us. The shop is a bit dusty because of the road right outside, but we don't mind it much. We know most of our customers by their first names and usually know what they need before they even ask. It is a small town, so we hear all the news about whose well is running dry or who had a good harvest last year. We aren't some big fancy store with bright lights. It’s just a practical space where we keep the essentials. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit on the bench outside and wait for it to come back. Working in agriculture means we are tied to the seasons. When it rains, everyone is happy, and when it doesn't, we all worry together. We just try to keep the doors open and have the right stuff on the shelves for whenever someone stops by. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the year without needing to be anything more than that.
