Raisa Furniture’S is right here at Plot No. 1027, near the Hanuman Mandir on Nari Road in Uppalwadi. It’s a busy spot because of the temple nearby. We’ve got wood shavings and sawdust everywhere most of the time. We make tables, chairs, and whatever else people ask for. It’s a lot of hammering and sawing. The shop isn't very big, so we often have to move finished pieces out onto the sidewalk to make room to work. You can hear the temple bells while we are working, which is nice. We don't use any high-tech machinery, just the usual saws and drills. Our hands are always covered in wood glue or stain. It’s not a fancy furniture gallery with soft lighting. It’s a workshop where things get built. Sometimes people stop by just to chat because we are right on the road. We have a few catalogs, but mostly we just draw out ideas on scraps of wood to show customers. The wood smells good, especially when we are cutting teak or pine. We don’t have a sales team. If you come in, you talk to the person holding the hammer. That’s how we like it. We’ve been here in Uppalwadi for a while and everyone knows where to find us.
