Jord Engineers India Ltd.

In the Mahal area of Nagpur, near Gandhi Gate, you will find the office of Jord Engineers India Ltd. We are situated within the premises of Neelam Perfumers. It is an interesting mix because the air sometimes smells like flowers and spices while we are working on engineering designs. The Gandhi Gate area is one of the oldest parts of the city, so it is very crowded and lively. Our office is up a narrow set of stairs. It is quite a small space, filled with old metal cupboards and a few desks pushed together. We spend our days working on engineering projects and managing various contracts. Because we are in such an old building, the ceilings are high but the rooms are a bit dark. We use a lot of desk lamps. Nagpur gets incredibly hot, so we have a water cooler that is always running. We know all the local tea vendors nearby and usually have a few rounds of chai brought up throughout the day. Our staff is small, and we’ve worked together for years. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small plate near the entrance. Most of our clients are long-term contacts who know exactly where to find us. It’s a practical way to run a business without spending money on things we don't need. We just focus on the engineering tasks at hand and try to stay cool.
