Job Location

We are over at Bangar Nagar on Wgapur Road in Yavatmal. The sign out front says Job Location, which is pretty much what we do. People come to us when they are trying to figure out where they can find work in the area. Yavatmal isn't a giant city, so everyone kind of knows everyone else. Our office is just a simple room with a few files and a place to sit. It’s usually quiet in the mornings, but by the time the bus comes through, we get a few people dropping in. We don't use any fancy software or anything like that. We just write things down in a big notebook and check it when someone asks. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We spend most of our time chatting with local business owners to see who needs an extra hand. It’s a very manual way of doing things, but it works for us. Sometimes we have to close up early if there is an errand to run in town. We aren't a corporate branch or anything, just a local spot helping out. It’s a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we keep the fan going to stay cool. It’s basic, honest work and it keeps us connected to the town. We've been here for several years now.
