Jain Class

We started Jain Class in Dhantoli quite a while back. It's right on the Main Road, so you can't really miss it if you're walking near the garden area. Nagpur is getting busier these days but this spot stays pretty much the same. We have students coming in at all hours, especially in the evenings when school lets out. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside but we just keep the doors shut and focus on the books. It is not a very big place, just enough rooms for the batches we handle. Most of the kids live nearby in the 440008 zip code, so they just walk or cycle over. We spend most of our day here, grading papers or explaining the same math problems over and over until they get it. The garden nearby is where we go for a quick breath of air during the short breaks. There's no fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some benches, whiteboards, and a lot of old textbooks piled up in the corner. People know us around here because we've been sitting in this same spot for years. We don't really do much advertising, just have the board outside. It feels good when a student comes back years later to say hello. That’s just how it goes here in Dhantoli. We open early and usually lock up late after the last batch leaves. It is a simple life but we like it this way.
