Jagannath Timber Traders

Jagannath Timber Traders is located within the Nirbhay Co-Operative Industrial Estate in Bhandewadi. This part of town is pretty much all industrial, so it’s not the most scenic place, but it works for what we do. We handle a lot of timber, so our yard is usually piled high with wood of all sorts. The industrial estate has been our home for quite a few years now. It’s a busy place with a lot of movement, especially in the mornings when the deliveries start coming in. The road inside the estate can be a bit bumpy, and it gets dusty when the wind picks up. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. We just have our workspace and the storage areas. Most of our day is spent checking the quality of the wood and making sure things are stacked properly so they don't fall. It’s heavy, physical work, and we’re usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. We know most of the neighbors in the other units, and we often share a cup of tea when things quiet down in the late afternoon. There’s no corporate structure here, just a few of us making sure the timber goes where it needs to go. We’ve been part of the Bhandewadi business community for a long time and we just take each day as it comes, moving logs and planks and keeping our workspace organized as best we can.
