Operating out of Kapil Nagar on Nari Road keeps us pretty busy. Itd Cementation India Ltd. has a small setup here in Nagpur. It's not the most exciting part of town, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time coordinating between the site and the office. S.G. Sakhare’s place is where we are based. It’s more of a functional space than a showroom. Most days are spent on the phone or tracking shipments. It gets hot here in the summer, which makes the fieldwork a bit tough, but we manage. We aren’t interested in flashy advertisements. We just do the work. The team here is small. We know each other well. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while going over the next day's schedule. There's a lot of talk about cement, steel, and deadlines. It’s honest work. Sometimes things go wrong, like a truck being late, and we have to figure it out on the fly. We don’t have a script for how things should go. We just deal with problems as they come up. Being in a residential area like this keeps us connected to the neighborhood. People walk by and see us working. It's just a normal part of the day. We’ve been here long enough that the surroundings feel like home. We’re just local staff doing what’s expected. It's a simple life but it keeps us on our toes.
