Shaiva Press

Our place is over at Shed No. 38/39 in the Butibori Industrial Area. It is a large, open space that gets quite loud once the presses at Shaiva Press start running. We have these big machines that take up most of the floor, and there is always a lingering smell of ink and cleaning solvents. Being in an industrial district means it is more about function than anything else. The walls are just plain, and we have stacks of paper pallets everywhere you look. We spend the day monitoring the print quality and making sure the rollers don't get stuck. It is a lot of standing on your feet and moving heavy stacks of printed sheets from one side of the shed to the other. Sometimes the heat in Butibori makes the ink dry faster than we want, so we have to keep an eye on the settings. We don't have a reception desk or a fancy lobby; you just walk into the workspace. The workers wear earplugs because of the constant thumping of the machinery. We just focus on getting the jobs printed and ready for delivery. There is a lot of oil and grease involved in keeping the gear running, so our hands are rarely clean. It is a straightforward industrial operation where we value the machines working properly more than anything else in the shop.
