Indian Railways

Our place is in Nagpur, specifically on the second floor of Uttara Apartment. We are at Suite 304. It’s right next to Bhojwani Hospital in the Deshpande Layout area of Wardhaman Nagar. It’s a decent enough spot, though parking can be a real pain during the day when the hospital is busy. We’re part of the Indian Railways family, working on the administrative and planning side of things. The office is usually filled with the sound of ceiling fans and the clicking of keyboards. We have a few balconies where we go to get a bit of air, though the view is mostly just other buildings and the street below. We aren't a public ticket counter, so we don't get a lot of random foot traffic. Most people who come here are either staff or contractors. We spend our days looking at maps and spreadsheets, trying to keep things organized. Nagpur is a big hub for the trains, so there is never a dull moment. The walls are painted a standard off-white and we have stacks of documents everywhere. It feels like a place where real work happens, not a showroom. We’ve got a small pantry for making tea and coffee, which keeps us going through the long afternoons. It’s just a regular office where we do our part to keep the rail network running as it should in this part of Maharashtra.
