India Wood Mart

We are located at Plot No. 30 in the Umiya Timber Market. If you’ve ever been to the timber market, you know the smell of fresh cut wood that’s always in the air. That’s our daily life at India Wood Mart. We have stacks of planks and logs all over the place. It can be a bit of a maze trying to walk through the yard sometimes. We deal with different types of wood, mostly for people who are building houses or making furniture. It’s a dusty environment, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. We’ve got saws and machines for cutting the wood to the right size. Sometimes customers come in with a very specific idea of what they need, and other times they just want to see what we have in stock. We don’t have a glossy catalog. You just come to Plot 30 and look at the piles yourself. The guys working here have been doing this for years, so they know their way around a piece of timber. We’re open pretty early in the morning when the trucks start arriving with new loads. It’s a simple business. We buy wood, we cut it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that. We like the market atmosphere, even when it’s raining and everything gets a bit muddy. It’s just India Wood Mart, doing what we do.
