Hope Design

Hope Design is located at Plot No 3 on Gita Mandir Road in Nagpur. We are right opposite Deneshwar Pethe, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find us. The office is in Hiwari Nagar, a part of town we’ve grown quite fond of. It’s a straightforward setup we have here. We have a couple of large tables for our drawings and some chairs that aren't the most comfortable, but they do the job. The summer heat in Nagpur can be pretty intense, so we spend a lot of time making sure the cooler is filled with water. It gets a bit noisy outside with the traffic on Gita Mandir Road, but we’re used to it by now. We spend our days mostly drawing and talking about different projects. There’s no big hierarchy here; we just sit together and get on with it. We have a lot of catalogs and material samples taking up space on the shelves. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when everyone is in at the same time. We don’t have a fancy website or anything like that, we just work from this small office. Sometimes we walk over to the local tea stall for a break in the afternoon. It’s a quiet life of work and sketches. We like being in this neighborhood because people are friendly and it feels like a real community. The rain usually cools things down in the evenings.
