Hindustan Construction Co Ltd

Out here at the Gosikhrud Spillway Project, things are always moving. We are Hindustan Construction Co Ltd and our site is based right in the middle of things in Pauni Bhandara, near Nagpur. Working on a spillway project means you spend a lot of time outdoors in the heat. It’s a big site with a lot of dust and heavy machinery everywhere you look. We set up our office here to manage the daily work and keep an eye on the progress at Gosikhurud. It is a long drive from the main city, so we mostly stay on-site during the week. Most of us have been working in Maharastra for years on different dams and water projects. The weather can be tough, especially when it rains hard, but the work has to continue. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. Usually, there are maps spread out over the desks and boots piled up by the door. It’s loud because of the construction, but you get used to it. We deal with the local suppliers and keep the crews moving. Being part of a big project like this takes a lot of coordination and patience. We just focus on the task for the day and try to get home at a decent hour when the sun goes down. We have seen this project grow from the ground up and it’s been a lot of hard hours for everyone involved on the team.
