Health Plus Spices

We set up Health Plus Spices over at Plot No.- 6/1842 in Mohit Nagar. Our place is right on Muteshwar Mandir Road, so we hear the temple bells pretty often throughout the day. It’s a nice enough area, though it gets dusty when the wind picks up. We focus on spices, like the name says, but we try to keep things as simple as possible. We don't use any big industrial machines; it’s mostly manual work and smaller equipment that we can manage ourselves. My hands are usually stained yellow from the turmeric we process, and it never seems to wash off completely. The shop is just a plain building with a metal shutter. We spend a lot of time sorting through raw materials to make sure nothing bad gets in. It's boring work sometimes, sitting there for hours, but it's necessary. We aren't trying to be a global brand or anything. We just sell to the local shops and people who stop by while they’re on their way to the mandir. The shelves are mostly made of wood we put up ourselves. It’s a bit cramped inside when we have a new shipment, but we make it work. We don't have a big philosophy about what we do. We just like spices and wanted to start something of our own in Mohit Nagar. It’s a small life, but it keeps us busy from morning till evening.
