If you are walking near Chhaoni Square, you will find us on the ground floor of Achraj Tower. Being on the ground floor is convenient because people can just walk right in from Chindwara Road without having to deal with elevators or long flights of stairs. The office stays pretty cool because we do not get direct sunlight hitting the windows all day. We spend most of our time talking to people who are looking for work or companies that need a few extra hands. There is always a lot of traffic at the square, so you can hear the horns honking and the buses going by throughout the afternoon. We have a couple of old desks and some chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job. The walls are mostly covered with calendars and some notes we have scribbled to ourselves. It is a bit of a small space, so when more than three or four people come in at once, it feels a little crowded. We keep a water cooler in the corner for anyone who stops by, which is useful during the Nagpur summers. Chhaoni is a lively area, and being right here in the middle of it means we get a lot of walk-ins. We do not have a big sign or anything flashy. Just a simple door and a place where we sit and go through applications for hours on end until the sun goes down.
