Our main office is tucked away inside the Deolaxmi Apartments on Nandanvan Main Road. If you know Nagpur at all, you know this specific area gets incredibly lively during the daylight hours. We have been operating out of room 216 for a while now. It is a modest setup with just enough space for our desks and all the old files we have gathered over the years. Gupta Group covers a few different areas of work, and we are usually juggling three or four different tasks at the same time. The small tea stall downstairs is where we usually spend our short breaks, just taking a breath before heading back upstairs to handle more paperwork. It is not a shiny glass building or a corporate park, just a regular apartment space turned into a workspace. People come in and out, mostly locals who have been dealing with us for a long time. We spend a lot of our day on the phone or just sorting through piles of papers. The traffic on the main road can get very loud, especially during the evenings, but you get used to that after a week or two. It feels more like a home than a polished office, which actually suits us just fine. We don’t use any complicated computer systems, just simple hard work and keeping our word to the people we work with. Sometimes the lift stops working and we have to take the stairs, but that is just part of being here.
