Gopika Urban Nidhi Limited

We are based in the Davlameti area, specifically at Rathi Lay-Out, Plot No. 89. It’s right near the Budha Vihar, so it’s easy for most local people to find where we are. Gopika Urban Nidhi Limited is just a small office where a few of us work. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it’s quite peaceful for the most part of the day. We handle things like small savings accounts and providing little bits of credit for people living nearby. We aren't trying to compete with the huge banks in the city center. We just want to be a convenient place for the folks in Davlameti to come. Inside the office, you’ll see some filing cabinets and a couple of desks. It’s not very big, so it gets a bit crowded if more than three people show up at the same time. We usually just tell people to pull up a chair if they have to wait for a few minutes. We don't use a lot of technical jargon or complicated bank talk. If someone wants to save money, we just tell them how it works and help them fill out the forms. Most of the people who come in are friends or people we’ve known for years. It makes the day go by faster when you can have a real conversation with everyone who visits. It’s just a simple, local operation, and we like it that way.
