Our business is located at No. 20/B in the Sardar Patel Timber Market. We are right on Ghat Road, not too far from Medical Square. It’s a very busy area with a lot of wood and heavy machinery around. Since we are in the timber market, there’s always the sound of saws or trucks loading up logs. It gets pretty dusty, so we are always cleaning off the desks. The shop itself is a basic structure with enough room for our paperwork and some samples. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to contractors who come by. Being near Medical Square makes it easy for people to find us, though the traffic on Ghat Road can be a nightmare in the afternoons. We have a small team here at Shivkrupa Trade Link. We've known the other sellers in the market for years. It’s a tight community of traders. We just focus on the logistics of moving wood from one place to another. There’s no corporate ladder or anything here, just us working in the heat. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. The building is old, and the floors are concrete. We don’t bother with decorations because they would just get covered in sawdust anyway. It’s a practical, hardworking environment for a trade business. We've got our system down for keeping track of the inventory as it comes and goes through the market. Being near Medical Square helps with the landmarks when giving directions.
