Gen Xl Obesity Foundation

Gen Xl Obesity Foundation is located on the ground floor of the Prabhuta building. We’re at number 21 on Nyaymurti Sitaram Patkar Marg, right in KhareGhat Colony. It’s a quiet enough area, which is nice for the kind of work we do. We mostly deal with people who are struggling with their health and weight. It isn’t a gym or a fancy clinic, just a place where we talk and figure things out. We started this because we saw so many people around us having a hard time. Being on the ground floor makes it easy for people to just walk in. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who care about this stuff. We keep our notes and meet people throughout the day. It’s not always easy, and sometimes the progress is slow. But we stay at it because we know it matters. The colony is a bit old-fashioned, and we like it that way. It feels like a real community. We don’t use a lot of medical jargon if we can help it. We just talk like normal people. If someone comes in feeling down, we try to listen. We’ve been at this for a while now, and we’ve seen all sorts of folks. Everyone has a different story, and we try to respect that. It’s just our way of giving back to the neighborhood from our little spot in Prabhuta. Being at 1B on the ground floor means we see everything that happens on the street. It keeps us grounded.
