Gayatri Gokhale Foundation

Our place is at R-3 in the Jyoti Flats, which is in Laxmi Nagar, Nagpur. It’s a pretty well-known part of town, so finding us isn't too hard for most people. The Gayatri Gokhale Foundation is run from here, and it's a very lived-in space. It feels more like a home than an office, which is how we like it. There are books everywhere and the tea is always brewing. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure the cooler is filled with water. We are in the 440022 area code if you're looking at a map of Maharashtra. It’s a regular residential building, so you won’t see any huge glass windows or corporate logos. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know who we are and what we’re about. We don't spend money on advertising or fancy websites because the work speaks for itself through the people we talk to every day. It’s a humble spot, maybe a little cluttered sometimes, but it’s where everything happens. We don't have a board of directors in suits, just a few people trying to make things go smoothly. If the door is open, it means we’re inside working on something. It’s just how we do things here in Laxmi Nagar. We don't need much more than this little flat to keep the foundation moving.
