Mughals Boutique

Mughals Boutique is right at Shop No. 1, just opposite the City Fire Brigade in Ganjipeth. It’s an easy spot to find because of the fire trucks across the way. We’ve been here for a while now. The boutique is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s filled with fabrics, laces, and half-finished garments. There is always a sewing machine humming in the background. We do a lot of custom work for people in the area. It gets really busy during the wedding season. Sometimes we are working by lamplight late into the night. It’s not a polished showroom like you see in malls. There are pins on the floor and scraps of cloth everywhere. We try to keep it tidy, but it's hard when you're in the middle of a project. We don't have any big marketing plans or a social media manager. People just see our work on their friends and ask where they got it. That's the best way for us. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually our only break. Ganjipeth is a lively place to work. You hear the sirens from the fire station and the noise from the street constantly. It’s just our little corner of the world. We focus on the stitching and making sure the fit is right. That’s enough to keep us busy every single day.
