Ahuja Medical Stores

You can find us over at G. M. Market in Gandhibagh. We have Shop No. 111 and 111A, so we have a decent amount of room for all the shelves. Ahuja Medical Stores is a busy place because the market is always crowded with people looking for one thing or another. The shelves are packed from the floor all the way to the ceiling, and sometimes it takes a ladder to find what we’re looking for. It’s a bit of a maze back there, but we know where everything is. The fans are always humming to keep the air moving, which is necessary when the market gets stuffed with shoppers. We see a lot of different faces every day. Some people have been coming to this market for years, and they always stop to say hello even if they don’t need anything. It’s a noisy environment with all the shouting and the vehicles outside, but you get used to it after a week or two. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is in the right spot. It’s not a job where you can afford to be messy. We keep a small stool behind the counter for when things slow down, but that doesn't happen very often. Usually, it’s just one person after another until we close the shutters. It’s a good spot to be in, right in the heart of Gandhibagh, even if it is a bit chaotic sometimes.
