Padgilwar Agencies sits on Central Avenue Road in the Gandhi Baug area of Nagpur. We are at number 76. This part of Nagpur is always busy with people coming and going. Our office is a bit old, with wooden desks and some old filing cabinets that squeak when you open them. We have been here for a long time. Mostly, we deal with different agencies and local businesses. My day starts with opening the shutters and sweeping the front. Then the phone starts ringing. We handle a lot of paperwork and orders throughout the day. It’s not always exciting, but it’s steady work. The air outside is usually thick with the smell of the market. We have a small fan that keeps the air moving inside. Sometimes we have to go out to meet people at their own shops nearby. Gandhibag is a maze of small lanes, so you have to know your way around. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People come to us because they've dealt with us for years. My boss is a quiet man who likes things done a certain way. We just try to get the orders right and keep the customers satisfied. If the delivery truck is late, we just have to wait. That’s how business goes around here on Central Avenue. It gets dark early in the winter so we try to finish up by six.
